Does chugging through lush valleys and pretty villages,stopping at some of the finest drinking establishments en route to sample apint of locally brewed ale sound like the ideal way to spend a day? Then embarkon a Rail Ale Trail and explore the fascinating history, heritage and hops that the area is home to.


Board one of our steam trains and begin a journey of discovery … a journey to discover two of the most renowned exports to come out of Lancashire – pies and pints. Learn about the history and heritage of our beautiful region and sample first hand some of the produce that we are oh so proud of!


The tours include an unlimited travel ticket for the EastLancashire Railway, a Blue or Green Badge Guided Tour lasting the full day.

Lunch venue: Local pub/restaurant serving ales. Please note the menu is a set meal so if you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when making your booking.

Start/finish point: All tours start and finish at Bury Bolton Street Station

Start time: 10:30am

Meeting point: The Trackside, Platform 2, where you will be introduced to your tour guide before commencing the tour.
