About Rachel Almond Dance Academy

Rachel began dancing at Finnegan’s Dance Academy as a child working her way through the IDTA medal test system until she met IDTA Fellow & Examiner Tracey Bentley in 1995 when she began training with her whilst working in her studio, Parkfield Dance Centre.

Rachel took her first professional examination at the

age of 17 as a student and has since trained relentlessly

hard to attain many qualifications with distinction, completing Fellowship level qualifications in Ballroom, Latin American, Classical Sequence & Freestyle. She was awarded the prestigious John Dilworth Scholarship for Classical Sequence. In 2015 she was approved by the IDTA Board of Directors as an Examiner for the Association.

Rachel is the elected Chairperson of IDTA North West Area Ballroom Committee.

Her passion for teaching dance and appreciation of tecnique is the driving force for a happy and sucessful school.
