Review: Viva Blackpool Ultimate Christmas Party Nights

If you’re looking for a night out to celebrate the most wonderful time of year, either with friends, colleagues or are just looking for an excuse to let your hair down then Viva Blackpool’s Ultimate Christmas Party Nights will not disappoint!

 

This fast-moving show is packed full of Vegas style variety including comedy, dance and incredible male and female vocalists and of course the stunning, talented Viva show girls! The show is packed full cheesy pop numbers, your favourite songs from popular musicals and of course plenty of festive classics thrown in too- you won’t be able to resist singing and dancing along!  The choreography is spectacular and the high energy dancing routines combined with top class vocals will definitely get you in the party mood.

Leye D Johns is your host and compare for the evening and will have your sides splitting from laughter with his smooth one liners and incredible wit. His crude/ rude nature is unexpected but pays homage to old style cabaret comedy: think of legends like Joe Longthorne and Cannon and Ball. His banter and interaction with the crowd is perfectly timed and executed and has every person in the room laughing. Leye is set to celebrate his 35th anniversary in the entertainment industry next year and after 25 years in Blackpool he sure knows how to throw a Christmas Party! This is obvious because of the incredible atmosphere that fills the room when he is on stage… it’s no wonder these party nights bring in businesses and groups of friends from all over the Fylde coast and beyond! 

What is really unique about Viva is the old style cabaret layout and seating- rather than traditional theatre seating groups are seated around circular tables where you enjoy your festive pre- show meal, waitress table service for all your drinks and then watch the show all from your table- this adds a more laid back approach and is really great for large groups as you can easily socialise, drink and be merry together (even dancing on the tables isn’t frowned upon)!

We didn’t eat on this occasion but saw plenty of people who seemed to be enjoying their pre-show festive dinner. The bar is well stocked, the drinks are reasonably priced and keep flowing. The staff are friendly and attentive and even offer table service for your drinks so you can enjoy the show!

 

 Great songs, spectacular choreography, good food and drinks and the best party atmosphere in town! What more could you want?
