About *The Clog & Billycock

The Clog and Billycock has been in the village of Pleasington for over 150 years and we're thrilled to have it part of the Brunning and Price family.

After starting life as the 'Bay Horse', our pub's name was changed in 1973 in honour of its former characterful Landlord, Alfred Pomfret who always wore Clogs and a Billycock behind the bar, so we felt it only fitting to retain the name.

On entering the pub, you're greeted by the warmth of the open fire, rugs, wooden and flagged stone floors and decent old furniture. The bar sits at the heart of the building boasting six cask ales, a backbar crammed with malts and gins and list of some 50 or so wines which we hope has something to suit all tastes. Carry on through, and you'll pass corners to squirrel away in before entering our garden room with vaulted ceiling and more contenders for choosing a favourite table. Outside you'll find a terrace lined with flower beds. A sun trap in the summer months converting to a covered outside seating area with open fire for when there's more of a nip in the air.
