Church St, Chirk, Wrexham, LL14 5EY.
For visitors wishing to explore the area on foot, there are certainly endless opportunities for walking adventures – not least of all from Chirk to Llangollen and across the rather impressive Telford aqueduct. This magnificent piece of architecture is regarded as being one of the most spectacular canal scenes and at 70 feet high, certainly needs a head for heights! From here you can peacefully stroll all the way into Llangollen for a much more relaxed take on the Dee Valley. The town itself has many attractions, including horse drawn canal trips, and has an array of pretty cafes and restaurants overlooking the River Dee. Llangollen is also renowned for its many quirky gift shops so be sure to pop in and have a browse.
