About Wild Flor

Wild Flor kicked off in 2019, founded by James & Faye Thomson and Rob Maynard. Having all worked in the restaurant industry for most of our lives across Sussex, with long stints at some of Brighton’s best known restaurant groups and wine merchants and having all shared a drive to deliver exceptional food and wine in an informed but relaxed environment, we put heads together and made it happen. 
With a tiny budget, a lot of trips to the paint shop knowing we’d keep building as we went along, we opened in May 2019 on Church Road in Hove. Once we’d cobbled together enough tables and chairs, we sought out the best possible suppliers of food and wine, and got to it.
 Almost four years on, we’ve held our place in the Michelin Guide & Good Food Guide since 2019, regularly being placed in Brighton’s top 5 restaurants and winning best wine list since opening, along with sitting in Wine List Confidential’s top 100 UK Wine lists. We’re immensely proud of the team and what’s been achieved, and look forward to continuing to share great food and wine with our guests.
