The popular Watford Comedy Night is back at the Pump House for 2025.
We’ve teamed up with Comedy Hotspot to bring you entertainment brimming with comedic excellence and featuring some of the best stand-up acts currently doing the national comedy circuit. January's line-up features: SUSAN MURRAY: Susan IS one of the best female stand-ups in the UK and was the first ever woman to MC Decompression gigs for the British Army/CSE. She is in the top 100 Huffington Post funny women Tweeters. She’s written for and was a guest on Jeremy Hardy Talks To The Nation and has also starred in Stephen K Amos’ Idiots Guide both for Radio 4. She has penned 4 successful solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival and is currently presenting on East London Radio and about to go on tour with Britain’s Got Talent star Daliso Chaponda. JULIAN DEANE: Widely celebrated for his ingenious punchlines, Julian Deane is an award-winning British stand up comedian and writer. Within a few years of starting stand-up comedy, he was named Best New Comedian by the Comedy Café in London and won the ITV Stand Up Hero and the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competitions. Julian has appeared on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One) and supported Paul Chowdhry on a world tour, which included Wembley Arena. He is also an in-demand writer, with his credits including Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Mock the Week (BBC Two), Matt Forde’s Unspun (Dave) and Morgan Spurlock’s New Britannia (Sky Atlantic). DAVID EAGLE: David is one of the funniest, fastest rising acts on the comedy circuit with an array of competition wins and some quality comedy club performances already under his belt. With David being blind, his comedy often explores how his disability means the most ordinary, commonplace events are turned into surreal and convoluted dramas. Occasionally he dons his accordion (often as a spiteful repost to hecklers) and performs one of his comedy songs, such as his George Formby parody, described by the Guardian as “a comic tour de force.” He was crowned New Comedian Of The Year by Leicester Square Theatre in 2019, a year which also saw him win new act competitions at Bath Comedy Festival and Nottingham Comedy Festival, and has been nominated Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards. David now graces many a stage on the professional comedy circuit and is tipped for the top. ADAM BLOOM: Adam Bloom is a winner of the Time Out Comedy Award and one of Britain’s most exciting and original stand up comedians. He has performed seven sold out solo runs at the Edinburgh Festival and a 29-date, sell-out tour of the UK. Adam performed a sold out solo run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, breaking box office records for anyone’s first ever visit to the festival. He has had three series on BBC Radio 4, entitled The Problem with Adam Bloom, and his TV credits include: Mock the Week (BBC Two), The Stand Up Show (BBC One), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two) and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three). You are in for a real treat and our regular Comedy Nights are growing in popularity so book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
