Broad Reach Psychology Practice, 20 Eldon Road Winton, Bournemouth, BH9 2RT.
Psychological therapy is more than a career to me; it is something I genuinely believe in. I am passionate about helping people who are motivated to understand their difficulties, make positive changes and move forward. I recognise that seeking support takes courage, and I strive to create a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental space where clients feel comfortable expressing their needs and preferences. I encourage open communication throughout therapy to ensure our work together is collaborative and tailored to achieving the best possible outcomes.
Born in the UK, I spent my early years in South Africa before moving to Canada as a child and later returning to the UK. Having lived in the Midlands, London and Guernsey, I am now settled in Bournemouth.
With over 20 years of experience, I have developed extensive knowledge of a wide range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), childhood trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, ADHD/ADD, personality disorders, addictions, bipolar disorder and self-harm.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) often forming the foundation of my work due to its strong evidence base. However, I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach. I integrate other methods, including Acceptance-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, problem-solving, systemic and psychodynamic approaches, depending on each client’s individual needs, preferences and goals.
I also value collaborative working with GPs, psychiatrists and other medical specialists, with my clients’ consent, to support coordinated and comprehensive care.
