Halifax Light Opera Society present Sweet Charity from Wed 20 to Sat 23 November at 7:30pm & 2pm Sat matinee
Sweet Charity explores the turbulent love life of Charity Hope Valentine, a hopelessly romantic but comically unfortunate dance hall hostess in 1960s New York City.
With hit musical numbers “Big Spender,” “If My Friends Could See Me Now,” “I’m a Brass Band” and “Baby, Dream Your Dream”, and made famous by its iconic Bob Fosse choreography, Sweet Charity brings the Broadway jazz to Halifax and is not to be missed!
SWEET CHARITY. Book by Neil Simon, Music by Cy Coleman, Lyrics by Dorothy Fields. Based on an original screenplay by Federico Fellini, Tullio Pinelli and Ennio Flaiano. This amateur production of SWEET CHARITY is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
