A brand new revival of Samuel Beckett's tragicomedy WAITING FOR GODOT will be playing at Theatre Royal Haymarket for a limited run in September this year!
WAITING FOR GODOT revolves around Didi and Gogo, who anxiously await the arrival of an enigmatic figure named Godot, grappling with themes of uncertainty and the intricacies of the human experience.
The first production of WAITING FOR GODOT premiered in Paris in early 1953, with the first English language version of the play following at the Arts Theatre in London in 1955. Since then the play has entertained audiences in many theatres worldwide, with the most recent London production performing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2009, starring Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart.
Starring Ben Wishaw (Paddington) as Vladimir and Lucian Msamati (Amadeus) as Estragon, this new production will be directed by James Macdonald (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), with further casting details to be announced.
