The Royal Shakespeare Company have announced the summer programme

The RSC have just announced their plans for the summer, to include a series of outdoor events performed in Stratford Upon Avon as well as a series of online events! Their summer programme will start in June and continue until September.

From July, get ready for a joyous (and covid-safe) moment of reunion, celebration and laughter on the banks of the Avon. Performances of Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors will celebrate the opening of a new open air performance space - the Lydia & Manfred Gorvy Garden Theatre.

In June directors Gregory Doran and Owen Horsley give online audiences the opportunity to look behind the scenes, and experience what goes on inside the rehearsal room.  The Henry VI Part One: Open Rehearsal Project explores the daily challenges of bringing Shakespeare’s plays to life.

They have also announced the RSC’s Next Generation Act young company performing All Mirth and No Matter, a response to Much Ado About Nothing on the Garden Theatre stage, plus the return of the RSC Summer School.

With free pop-up performances, interactive workshops and outdoor activities also scheduled throughout July and August, there’s no better place to celebrate the return of live theatre this summer than Stratford-upon-Avon.

With tickets going on sale from tomorrow!
