I have spent over 25 years in medicine, working as both an NHS and private GP, and my passion has always been to help people achieve not just good health, but lasting vitality. Over the years, I have trained extensively in Functional and Lifestyle Medicine, becoming one of only a very small number of UK doctors to complete the rigorous Institute of Functional Medicine Certification, a three-year programme. I have also undertaken specialist training in nutrigenomics and metabolic health, which allows me to use cutting-edge science on genetics, metabolism, and nutrition to create highly personalised treatment plans. My focus areas include menopause, hormone balance, gut health, nutrition, burnout, and lifestyle transformation. I believe the most effective care combines the strengths of conventional medicine with functional medicine principles, addressing not only symptoms but also the root causes of illness. I founded Dr. Shilpa Davé Health, a CQC-registered boutique private GP practice in the heart of Teddington, to put this vision into practice. Our clinic has been inspected twice with glowing CQC reports, reflecting our commitment to safety, quality, and excellence. I have built a hand-picked multidisciplinary team of experts who complement my skills, and together we bring over 113 years of combined experience in nutrition, personal training, sleep medicine, gut health, and holistic wellbeing. Even the lighting, décor, and atmosphere of the surgery have been designed to create a calming environment that supports recovery and balance.
