The Grapes, 14 Westgate Street, Bath, BA1 1EQ
Two minutes from Theatre Royal, The Grapes has been a public house since 1792. This is where Bath's independent music scene meets heritage hospitality.
Our Jacobean building houses a bar programme built around local breweries, grain-to-glass distillers, and thoughtfully chosen wines. The turntables are part of the furniture here, whether it's our bartenders mixing vinyl with drinks during the day or the live acts that fill the week.
The Music
Wednesday evenings bring jazz sessions led by some of Bath's finest players. Thursday nights are reserved for traditional Irish folk. Saturday sees the Chan Clan and guest selectors spinning vinyl from 8pm until late. Sunday afternoons offer live acoustic performances from 4pm, the kind that pair well with a pint in the garden.
Before or After the Show
The theatres are a short walk away. We're open until 1am most nights, 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Whether you're after a pre-show drink or somewhere to land once the curtain falls, you'll find us here.
What's Happening
