Following on from the success of Shrek Junior and Matilda the Musical BARTA is proud to present Newsies Junior.

Inspired by the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899, Newsies JR. is a dynamic, high-energy musical that tells the story of a fearless group of young newspaper sellers who band together to fight for what’s right. Led by the bold and charismatic Jack Kelly, the newsies rally against powerful newspaper publishers who try to exploit them for profit. With courage, unity, and determination, these young voices rise up and prove that even the smallest players can make a big difference.

This junior adaptation of the Broadway smash hit features music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, with a book by Harvey Fierstein. Packed with show-stopping numbers like “Seize the Day,” “King of New York,” and “The World Will Know,” Newsies JR. delivers unforgettable tunes, powerful messages, and thrilling choreography.
