The 15th edition of the Penzance LitFest gets off to a rousing start with a celebration of Cornwall, Cornish language and dialect. Join us for an evening of poetry, comedy and song in this special event marking the visit of the Southbank Centre’s Mobile National Poetry Library and its Poet in Every Port initiative.
It’s with great excitement that we welcome Myghtern Kernow, also known as Kernow King – and otherwise as Edward Rowe. He’ll be performing in the ancient Celtic tongue that has somehow become our second language. Do not fear! Whether you know some or no Kernewek, you will leave with a grin on your face and knowing what the Cornish word for prawn is.
