The Albany Theatre located near Coventry city centre is an Art Deco main house theatre and flexible studio space staging classic and contemporary dance, drama, comedy and music. Its vision is to promote well-being through Arts for Life offering communities access to the arts.
After being saved from demolition 10 years ago, the theatre has become a thriving arts venue attracting visitors from across the region and beyond. Run by volunteers and a professional core staff the theatre is a key legacy of Coventry’s year as City of Culture.
£3 million of re-development works are underway, funded by Coventry City Council, the new spaces will include creation of three new studios and a café, all due to be finished later in 2023.
