FAQs

How long are the Thomas rides?
All Thomas rides are approximately 15 minutes long.

What time are the Thomas train rides?
Thomas gives his first ride at 9:50, and then every 30 minutes until 15:50.

Do I need to book my Thomas ride?
Yes, you will need to select your preferred time. One ride is permitted per ticket and you must be on the platform for the train time that you have pre-booked.

Can I buy tickets on the day?
Please note that advance bookings close at 12:00 noon on the day before the event date. A limited number of tickets will be available to purchase on the day from the Ticket Offices at Ropley and Alton Stations.

I am booked onto a later Thomas ride; can I arrive earlier and enjoy all the other activities?
YES! All guests are welcome to enjoy all the activities available from 09:30 - 16:30. On arrival, you will be given information about what is taking place each day. Remember that you must be ready to board the Thomas train at your pre-booked time slot (this is printed on your e-ticket).

What time should I plan to arrive?
Visitors should arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before their pre-booked Thomas train time slot (this is printed on your e-ticket). Remember that activities are available from 09:30 until 16:30 for all guests.

What does my Day Out with Thomas ticket include?
As well as your ride behind Thomas, your ticket includes ALL the activities included in the activity section above, which are all FREE OF CHARGE!

Will there be other Thomas & Friends characters at the event?
Yes. Percy, Diesel, Toad, Trevor and Sir Topham Hatt and Sodor Station Sweepers Rusty & Dusty will also be there!

Will food and drink be available?
Yes, food, drink and ice creams will be available to purchase onsite.

Do you have special pricing for carers/personal assistants?
Yes, for any visitors with access needs who require a personal assistant we offer 1 free ticket per full price ticket. Please book by contacting Quaytickets on 0343 208 1841.

Are you able to accommodate Wheelchairs?
Yes, please book by contacting Quaytickets on 0343 208 1841. *Please note that each shuttle train is able to accommodate 4 wheelchairs. In the unlikely event of more than four arriving at once it will be necessary for some users to wait for the following shuttle train.

Are dogs permitted at the event?
Yes, dogs are welcome and travel for free.

Is there space for a pushchair, pram or buggy on the train?
Space on our trains is limited so we offer a free buggy park* at Ropley Station where you can leave your pushchair, pram or buggy while you enjoy the event.

*Please note that the buggy park is unsupervised, and items are left at owner’s risk. The Watercress Line accepts no liability for any loss of items on the day.

*Please note that children under 2 are not allocated a seat and must travel on a parent or guardian’s lap.
